Bernie Su was born in San Francisco, CA in 1953. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a BA in Philosophy and Religion. After working in the Bay Area for a few years, he moved to Seattle and became a full-time artist and writer. Subsequently, he moved to Los Angeles where he lives and works today
He has exhibited his work nationally and internationally and has received numerous awards including the "Most Creative" award from the University of California's MFA Program for his book, Seamless. His illustrations have appeared in many national publications including Esquire, Rolling Stone, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Daily News and The Los Angeles Daily Journal.
